The applicant must present a CV and a cover letter in Italian language and in English

A completed intern program application form

A signed work or intern agreement

A copy of the passport (information page only)

University or college transcript copies of diploma or certificates related to field of interest (if applicable and translated in Italian by an authorized translator of the student’s home country)

A detailed CV in English and Italian

A cover letter in English and Italian explaining why the student wants to intern in Italy

Two letter of reference/letter of recommendation: preferably professional or character references

A doctor’s note verifying that the student is in excellent mental and physical health
-
A copy of police clearance (obtainable from student’s community's local police station)

Four official passport-size photos with the student’s name printed on the back

One full-length photo of the student for the local coordinator to identify him/her.

Students who want to take up an internship in Italy are required to fill up and submit the application forms. These forms can be downloaded from the placement agency’s website, or can be requested from the agency itself by mailing or calling. Students can even fill up and submit the online form available on some agencies’ websites, after which the form will be mailed to the student within a few days time.

The application form with the application fee of € 50 to € 300 should be sent to the placement agency at least 4-6 months prior to date on which the student is thinking of beginning the internship. Students are advised to go through the instructions before filling up the form. In case of any queries, they should contact the placement agency for details.

Once the application and related documents are received by the placement agency, the HR department will contact the student for a telephonic interview and discuss about the student’s background, goals, and expectations. The process generally takes 2-3 weeks. And once the agency accepts the application, it may ask the student for a certain part of the program fee or in full to arrange for the internship in the required field with a respective organization.
