Undergraduate Courses in Spain

Single-Cycle Programs: These programs are usually 3 years long with students earning a Diplomatura (Bachelor’s Degree) at the end. These programs do not lead to second cycle of studies. Some of the common examples of Single-Cycle Programs are Library Studies and Nursing.

Two-Cycle Studies with an Intermediate Diploma: These programs provide students the option of continuing their studies to the second cycle after they’ve achieved either their Diplomatura (Bachelor’s Degree) or Arquitectura Técnica and Ingeniería Técnica degrees (Bachelor degree in Architecture or Engineering). These students can apply for the degree of Licenciatura (Masters Degree), or Arquitecto and Ingeniero (Architect and Engineer). These programs generally take five to six years to complete. Some examples of Two-Cycle programs are Economics, Law, Architecture and Engineering.

To apply for undergraduate courses in Spain, students should have completed their higher secondary education in one of the member countries of the Lisbon Convention and must have a valid school leaving certificate. They should have qualified the higher education studies in their home country to apply for higher education studies in Spain.

Students will also need to show proof of their proficiency in English and Spanish. In some cases, they may be asked to take some additional qualifying courses.

Students are required to submit complete details of their educational qualification including course subjects and grades.

Students are required to submit official transcripts from each institution attended after secondary school, with complete details of the subjects, credits involved and other details like correspondence courses, diplomas etc.

In case the original documents or transcripts are not in English, attach an English translation along with application. All the copies of the educational documents and transcripts should be certified or attested by a notary public, or a solicitor, or an official of the institution that issued the document.

Non-native English speakers are required to submit their IELTS/ TOEFL scores as a proof of their English proficiency.

Evidence of sufficient financial assets to fund the studies is a requisite.

Valid passport for the period of stay in Spain is required.

Fill the application form and attach all relevant documentation. Send the application form to the admission department of the university before the application deadline.

After the acceptance of the application, students would receive an official acceptance letter, which will include details regarding registration dates, accommodation, uniforms, payment schedule, medical insurance, etc.
Living cost for students in Spain can be anywhere between 900 Euro to 1100 Euro per month. This includes accommodation, food, traveling and other expenses.
