GMAT Tax Rates

Tax may be defined as an “enforced contribution” levied by government, for a business activity or an income. It came into existence from the time nations were established as democratic. In modern era, taxation has become a part of all the business activity, educational activity and commodity, ending up in serving as a source of finance to many other activities. It is applicable to GMAT test too, for GMAT tax is imposed to serve a purpose like this, in educational sector. This GMAT tax rate is variable because it varies from one country to another.
The GMAT tax rates for different countries, varies according to zone like European, American and Asia-Pacific. GMAT tax rate is applicable only at the time, when a candidate pays his fee. Process Where GMAT Tax Rates Are Applicable

  1. GMAT Tax Rates With Registration Fee
When candidates decide to take up a GMAT test, they would undergo a detailed research regarding the coaching centers, study materials, test centers and many others. The first detail in their check list would be the fee and the tax rates that are applicable with registration fee of US $250.00. When they come across the fee, they would go in search of the percentage of tax rates.
Apart from permanent residents and citizens of United States GMAT applicants from the other countries are required to pay a country tax along with the registration fee of US $250.00.
  1. GMAT Tax Rates With Rescheduling Fee
In case if candidates could not take up the test at the given date they must reschedule the GMAT appointment. GMAT tax rates are applicable even if candidates end up in retaking the test, along with the rescheduling fee of US $ 50.00.Some times candidates end up paying the entire registration fee of US $ 250.00 with GMAT tax rate, if they reschedule the GMAT test appointment, seven days within the test date.
  1. GMAT Tax Rates With Cancellation Fee
GMAT cancellation is structured in such a way that the candidates will be refunded or penalized, depending on time frame. GMAT tax rates do not come in when candidates cancel their GMAT appointment seven days in advance to confirmed test date. If candidates cancel their GMAT appointment seven days within the confirmed test date, they have to pay the penalty of entire registration fee of US $ 250.00 (with GMAT tax rate for different countries).
  1. GMAT Tax Rates With Additional Score Card Fee
The candidate requires an additional score card only if he/she ends up with low scores. If their preparation is not good or planned, the results would show up low scores. At a situation like this the candidate should place a request for an additional score sheet, to be sent to the other business schools. There is an additional charge of US $28 with the country tax. The country tax varies from one country to the other.
